Update! Theme Park E-mail Critique: Oh No Dolly!

Well, either Dollywood reads this blog, or someone over there realized their survey wasn't being executed as well as it could be.

Last week, I posted about some surveys I received from Dollywood's parent company and lamented that the survey could have been done better by using some simple segmentation. Today I got an e-mail from Dollywood with the subject line "Pigeon Forge Area Attractions Survey." I opened the e-mail and it had the Dollywood logo, and asked me to give my opinion about Pigeon Forge attractions I had visited.

Follow_up_Email

True to my word, since I said in my last post I would take a survey if invited by Dolly, I clicked the link to answer a few questions. The questions were easy, asking me if I lived within 25 miles of Pigeon Forge, how likely I was to visit Dollywood or other area attractions this year, and some basic demographic info.

Overall, this was executed much more smoothly than the previous e-mail surveys and I would think the response rate was higher. If someone at Dollywood is out there, I would love to hear about how this campaign performed!
